½ cup mayonnaise
½ packed cup/2 ounces finely grated extra-sharp Cheddar
4 slices crusty bread
Instructions
Arrange the tomatoes on a plate and sprinkle with salt. Stir together the mayonnaise, Cheddar and a pinch of salt.

Notes
I saw this recipe and we decided to change our dinner plans and have this with the wonderful tomatoes that we have for the garden. What a good decision. It is delicious. We used a nice crusty rye bread.
