Ingredients 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 1/2 cups Sugar 1/2 cup butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 egg 2 cups flour, sifted 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup sour cream 1 medium apple
Instructions 1. Combine walnuts, cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside. 2. Grease 9" angel food pan with removable bottom. Preheat oven to 375. 3. Cream butter, add 1 cup sugar gradually and beat til fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla, and beat til well blended. 4. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and soda. At low speed, beat this into batter alternately with sour cream. 5. Spread half of batter in prepared pan. Top with sliced apple and half of cinnamon sugar mixture, rest of batter, rest of mixture. 6. Bake 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean. Cool on rack for 30 min. Remove from pan.
Description There are lots of sour cream coffee cakes around but this one with the apples is a real hit.
