Ingredients 2 lbs. ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1 garlic glove, minced 2 c. tomato juice 2 carrots, sliced (2 to 3) 2 ribs celery, sliced (2 to 3) 1/2 green pepper, chopped 1 c. corn 2 c. green beans 2 medium potatoes, cubed (or substitute with one cup of barley) 2 c. water 1 T. worcestershire sauce, (I used Lea & Perrins original) 1/4 tsp. dried oregano 1/4 tsp. dried basil 1/4 tsp. dried thyme 1 dash hot pepper sauce 2 T. dry onion soup mix, or 1 beef bouillon cube 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Instructions 1. Brown meat and onions in saucepan. Drain. Stir in garlic and tomato juice. Heat to boiling. 2. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. 3. Cover. Cook on Low 8-10 hours. 4. Variation: Use 1 Cup. barley in place of potatoes.

Notes I found this on Facebook and tried it and everyone loved it. I suggest not putting the beans in at the start as they were too soft. I would add them about three hours before serving.
