Double Chocolate Mandel Bread

Ingredients

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

⅔ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ cup cocoa powder

½ teaspoon salt

¾ cup Mini chocolate chips


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Combine oil and sugar, in a large bowl, mix well.

Stir in egg.

Add flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt and mix to combine.

Fold in chocolate mini chips.

Form dough into a large rectangle, about 10 inches long by 4 inches wide, and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes,

Cool 5 minutes; cut crosswise while slightly warm into 12 sticks.

. Place cut side up and bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.

Carefully turn over and bake for 10 minutes more. 


Description

What can be bad about chocolate with chocolate. These prove it.

Notes

These come together very easily and quickly. I found it was better to cool them more than 5 minutes before slicing.
