Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars



Ingredients 1 package Sara Lee® Frozen Pound Cake thawed, (10.75 ounces) 1 cup instant oatmeal 3/4 cup brown sugar packed light 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Spray a 13×9-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. 3. Cut pound cake into 12 slices. 4. Line pan with cake slices, cutting to fit, if needed. 5. Combine oatmeal and brown sugar in medium bowl; mix well. Add butter and stir until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over pound cake and top with chocolate chips. 6. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool. Cut into bars.


Description Pound cake makes the base for these bars.

Notes I suggest slicing the cake lengthwise so that the bars can be cut easily. I sliced it as you would to serve it and then there were too many pieces to cut into the bars. Picture just for fun as I don't have a picture of the bars.
