Mango Lassi


Ingredients 3 cups/1½ pounds frozen or fresh chopped mango

2 cups full-fat plain yogurt (preferably Desi- or Indian-style)

1 cup milk or water

2 tablespoons honey

½ teaspoon fine sea salt

1 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)

1 teaspoon crushed almonds (optional)

1 teaspoon crushed pistachios (optional)

Directions

In a blender, blend mango, yogurt, milk, honey and salt until smooth.


Pour into glasses and top with cardamom powder and nuts, if using.


Description

This is a very delicious and refreshing drink.

Notes

The first time that I enjoyed Mango Lassi was at a wedding, and I fell in love with it. I used frozen mango and found that I needed more honey than the two tablespoons. We loved it without the optional toppings. I used Greek yogurt and it was fine.
