Honey Cake


Ingredients

3 1/2 cups flour 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon cloves 3 eggs, separated 1/4 cup oil 1 1/3 cups honey 1 cup black coffee, warm 2 tablespoons Brandy or wine 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar


Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Combine all dry ingredients and make a well in center. 3. Beat egg yolks well. Add yolks, oil, honey, coffee and wine and beat until well blended. 4. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Fold egg whites into mixture. 5. Pour into ungreased tube pan and bake for one hour.
