Ingredients 2 glasses of flour 2 eggs 2 tsp powder 1/2 glass sugar 1/2 glass oil Salt - vanilla
Instructions 1. There are no directions with this recipe which was in Auntie Pauline's collection of recipes. I just combined everything, rolled out the dough and cut into circles. 2. The measurement is in glasses. When I asked Bubby for this recipe, shortly after I was married, she said "glass" and I asked what kind of glass and she said "Yahrzeit glass" - the glasses that memorial candles used to come in. 3. I think that as long as the same size glass is used, the proportions stay the same. I used a cup measurement. 4. I baked them at about 350. This is all sort of guessing.
Description My grandmother's recipe.
Notes I remember these cookies from my childhood. Bubby would make them for us. My cousin Arthur loved the burned ones. When I got this recipe from my cousin Larry - who found it in his Grandmother's recipe
collection - I made them for Arthur who was very ill. We had a good trip down memory lane as he enjoyed them.
Source My bubby didn't write the recipe down as she had no recipe. I have great memories of the cookies.
